Watt-Hours to Milliamp-Hours Calculation Formula
Q(mAh) = 1000 × E(Wh) / V(V), where
Q(mAh) – electric charge in milliamp-hours (mAh),
E(Wh) – energy in watt-hours (Wh),
V(V) – voltage in volts (V).
Example.
A real-life example for Wh can be the energy consumption of a laptop battery. Let’s assume that a laptop has a 60 Wh battery, and it can operate on a voltage of 11.1 volts. To calculate the charge in milliamp-hours (mAh), we can use the formula:
Q(mAh) = 1000 × E(Wh) / V(V) = (60 * 1000) / 11.1 = 5405.41 mAh
