P(kW) – electrical power in kilowatts (kW);

I(A) – electric current in amperes (A);

V(V) – voltage in volts (V).

AC single Phase Amps to Kilowatts Calculation

P(kW) = PF × I(A) × V(V) / 1000, where

P(kW) – electrical power in kilowatts (kW);

PF – power factor;

V(V) – RMS voltage in volts (V);

I(A) – phase electric current I in amps (A).

Calculating Kilowatts from Three-Phase AC Amperes

Calculation with Line to Line Voltage

P(kW) = √3 × PF × I(A) × VL-L (V) / 1000, where

P(kW) – electrical power in kilowatts (kW);

PF – power factor;

I(A) – phase electric current I in amperes (A);

VL-L (V) – line to line RMS voltage in volts (V).

Calculation with Line to Neutral Voltage

P(kW) = 3 × PF × I(A)× VL-N (V) / 1000, where
