Volts to Amps Calculation
According to Ohm’s law, electric current I can be calculated through voltage V and electrical resistance R as follows:
I(A) = V(V) / R(Ω)
The electric current I can also be calculated through power P and voltage V as follows:
I(A) = P(W) / V(V)
For example, let’s say we have a circuit with a power supply of 12 volts (V) and a resistance of 4 ohms (Ω). We can use Ohm’s law to calculate the electric current (I) flowing through the circuit:
I(A) = V(V) / R(Ω) = 12V / 4Ω = 3A
